Fidelity Digital Assets, National Association
Fidelity Digital Assets is the institutional digital asset arm of Fidelity Investments, one of the world's largest financial services firms with $15 trillion in assets under administration. Originally launched in October 2018 to offer Bitcoin custody and execution to institutional investors, the business grew from Fidelity's internal blockchain research that began in 2014. The platform is operated through two regulated entities: Fidelity Digital Assets, National Association (FDA, NA) — a national trust bank chartered by the OCC in 2025 — and Fidelity Digital Asset Services, LLC (FDAS LLC), a New York State-chartered limited liability trust company regulated by NYDFS. In the UK, Fidelity Digital Assets, Ltd. (FDA LTD) is registered with the FCA. The platform offers cold storage custody, trading, off-exchange settlement via Collateral Account Suite, staking, and research. It carries industry-leading insurance coverage of up to $1B and undergoes annual SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 audits.
