Quant Network Ltd.
Quant Network Ltd. (founded 2015, London, UK) is the technology company behind Overledger, the world's first blockchain operating system and API gateway for enterprise DLT interoperability. Founded by Gilbert Verdian — Chair of the UK Blockchain ISO TC307 committee, member of the EU Blockchain Observatory, and Federal Reserve liaison — Quant was built on a core insight: financial systems need to communicate across different ledgers without point-to-point integrations. Verdian conceived Overledger in 2016 while co-authoring ISO Standard TC307, which was subsequently adopted by 57 countries as the international standard for blockchain and distributed ledger technology. The company raised over $11M in an ICO in April 2018, with QNT as the network's native utility token. Quant is UK-based with a US presence, incorporated as Quant Network Ltd. (Companies House #09798383) under the parent holding entity Quant Network Holdings Ltd. The company's flagship milestone is its selection by UK Finance on September 26, 2025, to build the Great British Tokenised Deposit (GBTD) platform — the UK's live tokenized sterling deposits infrastructure — in collaboration with Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, NatWest, Nationwide, and Santander, with EY and Linklaters as advisory partners, running to mid-2026. The GBTD project builds on Quant's Phase 1 delivery of the UK Regulated Liability Network (RLN) in 2024, and prior work on Project Rosalind (BIS / Bank of England retail CBDC, 2022–2023). Quant's product suite includes Overledger Platform (SaaS, publicly launched June 2023 — the same technology used in Project Rosalind), PayScript (programmable money engine, proprietary), Overledger Authorise (blockchain-agnostic API gateway), and Overledger Fusion (Layer 2.5 upgrade integrating DeFi with regulated finance via a multi-ledger rollup system with compliance and privacy features). Key enterprise relationships include HSBC (tokenization), Oracle (LACChain across 12 Latin American countries), Worldpay, VocaLink, Finastra, OutSystems, and R3 (RLN Phase 1 co-delivery). Revenue model: SaaS licensing plus QNT token locking required by gateway operators (gateway operators escrow QNT for 12-month periods to access the Overledger network, creating a demand-linked lockup mechanism).
