LayerZero is an omnichain interoperability protocol enabling frictionless cross-chain communication across 50+ blockchains. Its flagship bridge Stargate (formerly accessible via theaptosbridge.com) has processed $70B+ in cross-chain volume. In August 2025, LayerZero acquired Stargate for $120M in ZRO tokens (94% DAO approval), reuniting the two protocols under one token and governance framework.
