Origin Protocol
Origin Protocol is a DeFi yield ecosystem on Ethereum offering OUSD, a yield-bearing stablecoin that auto-distributes returns to holders via rebasing, and OETH, a liquid staking token for ETH. Founded in 2017 by serial entrepreneurs Josh Fraser and Matthew Liu, the protocol's smart contracts automatically rebalance across lending protocols (Aave, Compound, Curve) to optimise yield. OGN token holders can stake for xOGN to earn protocol revenue and govern the ecosystem.

UnregulatedAbout Origin ProtocolOrigin Protocol was initially built as a decentralised marketplace platform before pivoting to DeFi yield products and NFTs. OUSD is fully collateralised by USDT, USDC, and DAI, with yield generated from diversified lending protocol deployment and auto-rebalancing. OETH allows users to mint by depositing ETH, which is staked on the Beacon Chain with rewards distributed back. The Automated Redemption Manager (ARM) provides institutional-grade liquidity for LST/LRT swaps. The protocol generates revenue through performance fees, with 50% distributed to OGN stakers and 50% used for flywheel token purchases to boost underlying yields. Team members come from PayPal (co-founder Yu Pan), YouTube, Google, Instagram, Coinbase, Tesla, Lyft, 1inch, and Dropbox. Audited by OpenZeppelin.
