About The IndexThe Index (INDEX) is the native fee-reward token of Robinhood Chain, the Arbitrum-based layer-2 network that went live in July 2026 carrying Robinhood's tokenized stock products. Trading and protocol fees generated on Robinhood Chain are pooled and used to purchase Robinhood stock tokens, which are then distributed to INDEX holders/stakers. It is a new, thinly documented, highly volatile ecosystem token rather than an asset-backed RWA product, and is unrelated to the separate, older 'INDEX' governance token used by Index Coop.
